Refund Policy

Short version: If Capture isn't right for you, email support@capture.surf within 14 days of your purchase and we'll refund you in full. You don't need to explain why.
The 14-day guarantee
We want you to be happy with Capture. If for any reason you're not — it doesn't fit your workflow, you ran into a bug, you changed your mind, you bought it by accident — you can request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase. No questions, no forms, no friction.
Why we offer this
Capture is a small, paid Mac app from an independent developer. We'd rather refund you and have you walk away with a good impression than keep your money and have you stuck with software you don't use. The 7-day free trial exists to help you avoid this situation in the first place — please use it before you buy.
How to request a refund
Send an email to support@capture.surf with:
- The email address you used at checkout, OR your Polar order number (it's in the order confirmation email from Hiroic Ventures (via Polar)).
- That's it. You don't need to give a reason. (But if you have feedback we should hear, we'd love to read it.)
We'll process your refund within 2 business days. The money is returned to your original payment method by Polar, our merchant of record. Depending on your bank, the credit may take 5–10 days to appear.
What happens to your license
Once your refund is processed, your license key is deactivated. Capture will return to its trial-expired state on your Mac the next time it checks in. Your captured notes, your Obsidian vault, and your settings stay exactly where they are — we don't touch your files.
After 14 days
We don't generally offer refunds after 14 days, but life happens. If something unusual is going on — a bug we couldn't fix, a major change in macOS that broke the App for you, a duplicate purchase — email us and we'll do our best to make it right. We'd rather solve the actual problem than hide behind a policy.
Chargebacks
Please email us before filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Almost every refund situation is faster, cleaner, and friendlier when handled directly. Chargebacks cost both of us money in fees and take weeks to resolve.
